FAB ACADEMY offers players with above average football ability the same opportunities that would be offered to those that were handpicked by Professional clubs. We recognise that young players do not necessarily all reach their full potential at the same age. From our coaching experience it can come to fruition at different stages in their development and teenage years. At FAB Academy we believe that if we are able to create the right coaching environment then our players will learn and develop their skills more quickly. The age group that we aim to develop are those between 6 and 18 years of age. Scholarship opportunities are also available when players reach school leaving age in year 11. FAB also offers expert goalkeeping coaching to improve the individual goalkeeper and his skills.
The coaches at FAB Academy deliver a coaching syllabus that encourages the players to experience different coaching topics and techniques within the 10 week course. Coaches give verbal feedback on a weekly basis and at the end of each ten week course each player will receive a written assessment of their development throughout the period. If during the course the coaching team believe that the player has reached a level of skill and performance that is worth developing further, they will at this stage be invited to continue their training for a further 10 weeks. This process continues and can potentially, given the time, training and effort, lead to the offer of a place within the full-time academy when they reach school leaving age in Year 11.
To gain a place at FAB Academy you need to have been invited by one of the coaching staff or scouted by one of our talent ID team. Alternatively you could choose to attend one of our full day clinic courses which are held at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre during the school holidays.
FAB Academy runs three evenings a week:
MON / WED / FRI
