The FAB Academy provides a 2 year full time course to the ‘late
developer’ who can demonstrate significant football talent. This
fantastic 2 year course is offered to Year 11 school leavers that can
prove that they have substantial raw talent or whose skills suggest
they could have the potential to play professionally. Fab Academy
provides the opportunity for players to develop in a professional
environment on a full time intensive football course. There is
accommodation for any student that needs to be residential.
The course has 3 key areas of focus
The Football The course is structured by 6-8 practical football sessions per week,
with the emphasis of these sessions being on technical, tactical,
physical ability and conditioning, as well as psychological elements
of the game.
Education
The education element of this scholarship ensures that the players do
not miss out on further educational studies. The players will study 2
days per week to fulfil their educational requirements.
The course offered is BTEC Level 3 Extended National Diploma in
Sport (this is equivalent to 3 A levels). The educational course is
delivered by Charters School ‘Ascot’ who received a Grade 1
‘outstanding’ in their most recent Ofsted report and has an excellent
reputation in developing and delivering education to an extremely
high standard.
We also offer English Language courses to our overseas players that join the Academy.
Coach Education
During the 2 year course the players will develop their core
knowledge and understanding of the game whilst also improving their
tactical awareness.
All scholars participate throughout the course in the FA Level 1 and
FA Level 2 coaching awards. These awards are recognised
internationally by UEFA & FIFA. The qualifications will improve the
individual’s game knowledge and coaching experience, and add
significant weight to their curriculum vitae.
